"The humble, meek, merciful, just, pious, and devout
souls are everywhere of one religion;
and when death has taken off the mask,
they will know one another, though the diverse liveries they wear here make them strangers."
~ William Penn

carefully screened for content. Unfortunately, that screening was not done carefully enough
and several ads were run on this site that I did not
approve of, and I am extremely sad and sorry for it. I would like to thank the dear sister in Christ who brought this serious
matter to my attention. But, most of all, I would like to publicly
apologize for the worldly and immodest ads which were run here
and I pray to be forgiven for any cause of stumbling the inappropriate ads may have caused.

Welcome, dear visitor, in the name of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.
My name is Kimberly Anne Makela and I live with my family in northern Michigan.
We have a small farm,
Quaker Hill Farm,
where we raised our children and have
lived, worked and loved for almost 30 years. QuakerAnne.com is
where I share the workings and writings of my peace ministry, Christian encouragement and
topics relating to Quaker spirituality which includes
my Christian Internet ministry of writing
children's stories based on life at Quaker Farm.
This is also a place for me to share my Quaker journey, Christian faith and plain
dress testimony as well
as information that might be useful to others about simple
living and the discernment of going plain.
A conservative plain Quaker by convincement, I am very grateful
for God’s guidance in my life to worship after the
manner of the Religious Society of Friends. However, I do not
presume authority on the Quaker faith in any of its dimensions but attempt only to share my
evolving experience of Quakerism and how the Holy Spirit is leading in my life.
In sharing the story of my Christian journey of faith and plain dress testimony I hope
to be of
encouragement to others who find themselves similarly called apart for Christ. Through the ministry of
my children's stories
I endeavour
to bring praise and glory to God and provide a safe, educational resource for children about life on a farm and the
miracle of creation.
Peace Ministry
Amazing Grace, Quaker Anne & Friends
"...if we have work to do for God, we cannot do it without a sense of
inner peace and freedom." - Lewis Benson
Amazing Grace recorded live. In 2009, Peace Minister Quaker Anne was one of many volunteers who performed
for a special community theater benefit that successfully raised money for a local children's educational
project in northern Michigan. The children's project was a great encouragement to the community during Michigan's difficult economic times.
Amazing Grace was specially selected, adapted and arranged by Quaker Anne as part of a Christian ecumenical
ministry to share the message that as Christians we are all, regardless of our diversity, connected by Gods Amazing Grace through Jesus Christ.
In our thoughts and deeds, may we hold the whole world in the Christ like spirit of peace with the realization of the Lords Prayer ..."Thy Kingdom come, will be done on earth as it is in heaven"... alive and active in our hearts towards our fellow man world wide.
Quaker Anne would especially like to thank her family for their support and encouragement; her talented husband William for his musical accompaniment, her son John, (standing behind her left shoulder), for being one of the vocalists, and her daughter Hannah for being there.
