"The humble, meek, merciful, just, pious, and devout
souls are everywhere of one religion;
and when death has taken off the mask,
they will know one another, though the diverse liveries they wear here make them strangers."
~ William Penn

Listen
to Quaker Anne read the above quote from William Penn
Welcome dear visitor.
May thy visit be pleasant and informative.
My name is Kimberly Anne Makela and I live with my family in northern Michigan.
We have a small farm, Quaker Hill Farm
which we have worked for over 25 years and raised our children on. This web site, QuakerAnne.com,
is an extension of our life and the home of
my Christian Internet ministry of writing
children's stories based on life at our farm, my Christian spiritual essays and more.
It is also a place for me to share my Quaker journey, Christian faith and plain dress testimony as well
as share information thee might find useful about simple living.
A conservative plain Quaker by convincement, I am very grateful
for God’s guidance in my life to worship after the
manner of the Religious Society of Friends. Yet, I certainly don't
presume to be an authority on the Quaker faith in any of its many dimensions but attempt only to share my
evolving experience of Quakerism and how the Holy Spirit is leading in my life.
In sharing the story of my Christian journey of faith and plain dress testimony I hope to be of
encouragement to others who find themselves similarly called apart for Christ. Through the ministry of
my children's stories
I endeavour
to bring praise and glory to God and provide a safe, educational resource for children about life on a farm and the
miracle of creation.
Peace Ministry
Amazing Grace, Quaker Anne & Friends
Amazing Grace recorded live. In 2009, Peace Minister Quaker Anne was one of many volunteers who performed
for a special community theater benefit that successfully raised money for a local children's educational
project in northern Michigan. The children's project was a great encouragement to the community during Michigan's difficult economic times.
Amazing Grace was specially selected, adapted and arranged by Quaker Anne as an Ecumenical outreach to share the message that as Christians we are all, regardless of our diversity, connected by Gods Amazing Grace through Jesus Christ.
In our thoughts and deeds, may we hold the whole world in the Christ like spirit of peace with the realization of the Lords Prayer ..."Thy Kingdom come, will be done on earth as it is in heaven"... alive and active in our hearts towards our fellow man world wide.
Quaker Anne would especially like to thank her family for their support and encouragement; her talented husband William for his musical accompaniment, her son John, (standing behind her left shoulder), for being one of the vocalists, and her daughter Hannah for being there.
