And now approve yourselves the children of God, in your actions,
for by your fruits you shall be judged. God is holy, and His children bear His image.
Oh! redeem your time; prize your souls, and mind that which is eternal.

About.....
Please read the following - stories are linked below.
Writing children's stories and
offering them to the public to enjoy via the Internet, rather
then publishing them as a book,
is part of my
Christian ministry.
Glorifying God through the wonders of creation that I see
so commonly displayed in farm life is a wonderful way to praise the greatness of
our Creator, and present a witness to
His power and glory. These stories give our whole family an opportunity to express respect and gratitude
for the gift of life God gives to
all living things.
This project began as a series of letters to my grandchildren. I wanted them to be able to frequently enjoy
the experiences of
"Grandpa & Nana's farm" despite the great distances between us; so many of my little lambs live several
states away. But it wasn't long before I was led to greatly broaden the availability of this information
to a much wider audience that could include all children everywhere. Thus, this site.
While the text of each story was written by me, most members of my family participated in the project in one
important
way or another. All of
the stories were inspired by actual events that have taken
place on our farm and all of the photography was taken here. The animals thee
will meet within
these pages really do exist and live right here.
Due to timing and the nature of some of the more complicated photography used for illustrations,
these stories took several years to compile and God willing, there will be more to come - several are
being edited right now! Our stories are copyrighted and most of our graphics are watermarked with our farm domain name in the hope
of preserving them
from theft. It is a bit distracting when viewing the images, and we apologize for that. Whether it actually protects them or not,
that, as in all matters, we "let go, let God."
We would like to thank
the many
families who shared in the editing process of critiquing the material and sifting out my ever present typos - patient souls like
Angela, Erika, Heidi, Becky,
Kathy, Les, Shannon, (and all their children) - to name just a few - who offered such kind
voluntary help to me. Their
input was such a blessing! If thee, kind reader, finds errors we have missed please let us know.
We want to share with others the miracles and joys that we often experience in our life, especially with those
who may never
get a chance to visit a real farm. As parents of home schooled children (now grown!), Bill and I personally
know how important wholesome educational resources are and we are grateful
for the opportunity to offer ours here.
We well know how dark and perilous the Internet can be, but, herein we offer to proclaim our Christian faith
through the stories about our life on the farm as one more lamp shining to illuminate Christian truths and the
love and goodness of Christ.
I encourage thee to share time with thy children reading these stories! The subject matter will certainly
inspire
thoughtful conversation. All of them
were written with
pre-school through 2nd graders in mind
but would surely appeal to the child in the hearts of persons of any age.
We invite thee also to share this resource with others and would raise this challenge
to all of our Christian brothers and sisters: Proclaim thy faith! Use the Internet to offer
up your own inspirational stories because
you have them, we all do. Each of
us needs to use the power of the Internet for the cause of good and share our love for Christ.
There is no better way to take advantage of the information
highway than to bring glory to God.
If you are on a spiritual journey and searching for answers, remember these words of George Fox, founder of the
Quakers:
"There is one, even Christ Jesus, that can speak to thy condition." Take your concerns to God in prayer.
Repent of your sins and with faith accept Christ's sacrifice for salvation
and He will speak to thy condition. Then thee too will know the comfort Paul spoke of in Philippians 4:7
- "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus."
In Service to Christ;
Quaker Anne
